Why tile & backsplash goes wrong.
Tile is unforgiving. A layout that is a few millimetres out at one end of a wall is obvious by the other end, and a lippage you can feel with a fingertip you will feel forever. We plan the layout before we spread thinset, cut around outlets and corners cleanly, and hold the plane flat across the whole surface.

The questions we get asked most on this kind of job.
How long does a kitchen backsplash take?
A standard backsplash is usually two days: one to set the tile, one to grout and seal after the thinset has cured. Intricate patterns like herringbone take longer because there are far more cuts.
Can you tile over my existing tile?
Sometimes, if the existing tile is sound, flat and well bonded. Often it is the wrong call — it raises the floor height, complicates transitions and inherits whatever is wrong underneath. We will tell you honestly which case yours is.
Who supplies the tile?
Either way works. Most clients pick their own tile and we install it; if you would rather not, we will walk you through options that suit the room and the budget before you buy.
