Tile and remodeling in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury is a ten-minute run down Route 20 for us, and one of the towns we work in most. Kitchens, bathrooms, floors and stone — same crew, same standard, no minimum job size.

Local knowledge

What Shrewsbury houses actually need.

Shrewsbury is unusually mixed: century-old homes near the centre and around Lake Quinsigamond, and newer construction spreading north and west. That split shows up in the work. Older houses need substrate work before any tile goes down — out-of-level floors, plaster walls, subfloors that were never meant for large-format tile. Newer builds are usually flat and sound but were finished with builder-grade tile and countertops that owners are now ready to replace properly.

Questions

Working with PizTile in Shrewsbury

Short, honest answers. If something here is not clear, call and ask — we would rather explain it now than have it come up mid-job.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on the size of the room, the material and what is behind the walls — so we do not quote from a phone call. We come out, measure, look at the substrate and give you a written estimate with the work itemized. The estimate is free and there is no obligation attached to it.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. PizTile LLC is registered as a Home Improvement Contractor in Massachusetts and carries insurance. We are happy to send the paperwork before you commit to anything — you should ask any contractor for it.

How long will my project take?

A backsplash is usually two days. A full bathroom is typically two to three weeks. Flooring depends on square footage and whether the subfloor needs work. You get a realistic schedule with the estimate — not an optimistic one designed to win the job.

How much mess will there be?

Demolition makes dust, there is no way around it. What we control is where it goes: we seal the work area, protect the floors along the route in and out, and clean up at the end of every day. You should be able to live normally in the rest of the house.

Do you give updates while the work is running?

Yes. You hear from us as the job moves, and immediately if something changes — a surprise behind a wall, a delayed material, a schedule shift. Finding out late is what turns a small problem into a bad experience.
