How long does a kitchen backsplash take?
A standard backsplash typically takes two days: one day for prep and setting the tile, and one day to grout and seal after thinset has cured.
Can you tile over existing tile?
Usually we advise against it. Tiling over old tile raises floor height, complicates transitions, and hides underlying substrate damage. Doing it right from the subfloor up guarantees longevity.
Will exterior stone survive Massachusetts winters?
Yes, when built on proper compacted bases and with correct drainage. Proper preparation prevents frost heave from lifting steps and landings.
